it's possible to get the same kind of the-world-is-beautiful-i-love-you-all buzz that i might get from drinking excessively or smoking out a bit ... just by being around people having a good time.

they were drinking, i was sober.

the world is a beautiful place, i love you all. :)

After I gave up alcohol I was surprised to find that the buzz of a dinner party was just the same. I had attributed it the wine, but the food and the stimulation of the company are really what works the magic.

some people have found away to feel that way all the time. I think it's possible for everyone but takes a lot of work. I think the dharmic philosophies and practices are a great path to start out on for this...
